What is the cost per night?

The cost is $370 NZD for a one night stay. This rate applies for nights we are currently open at the restaurant, which is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, including any public holidays if these days fall on one.  There is no minimum night requirement for you to book. This price is for two adults. 

 

How do I know if the day I want to stay is available?

 

Please head to our homepage www.thehuntinglodgeglamping.co.nz and click the “check-in” and “check out” option.   A calendar will then pop up. Available dates will be shown. Those dates unavailable will have a strikethrough on that date.

When and how do I pay?

 

To ensure your booking is secured, payment is required at the time the booking is placed. You will have a variety of credit and debit card payment options available to you at the online checkout.  If you are at the Restaurant and decide that evening you want to stay and it is available, please ask the staff at The Hunting Lodge Restaurant.

 

How many people can stay?

 

Glamping at The Hunting Lodge has a maximum guest capacity of 2 adults. Please note that the living and sleeping area of the tent is one space, therefore all people will be sleeping in the same room. Please refer to the photos if necessary.

 

Is there any additional charge for more people?

 

The rate of $350 per night applies to two adults only. 

Do you offer gift vouchers?

 

No, you can book directly online and dates can be changed if within the time frames outlined below under cancellations.

 

Can I bring my dog?

 

Sorry, we, unfortunately, cannot have dogs.

 

Are children allowed?

 

Sorry this service is not available at the moment.

 

What time is check in and check out?

 

Check in is at 3pm and check out is 1pm. You can check in later than 3pm up to 6pm.  Upon leaving please ensure you are left by 1pm.

 

Is food provided or do we bring our own?

Two courses of your choice from our Seasonal Set Menu Dinner at the Restaurant and a small breakfast hamper for the morning will be provided.  The lawn bar opens at 11am, for lunch if you wish.

For each night booked, you will be supplied with the following breakfast hamper items:

  • Tea (English Breakfast), sugar, instant and plunger coffee.

  • Pastries, Muesli and Condiments from our restaurant.

Can I get a refund if we do not eat at the restaurant?

 

Sorry, unfortunately, this is non-refundable as dining is part of the full accommodation package. Room Service is available and can be arranged if you want to stay in the comfort of the tent. 

Can we drive all the way to the Glamping site?

Yes, you can park your car approximately 10-20 metres from the tent in the car park.

Where is the nearest medical centre & hospital?

 

For medical emergencies, please dial 111 and request an ambulance (there is cellphone reception at the glamp site, tell them your address located next to the restaurant at The Hunting Lodge Waimaukau, 305/307 Waikoukou Valley Road, Waimauku, Auckland 0882.  If after hours, tell them to enter at the restaurant entrance, the gate will be closed but not padlocked,

If you have a minor medical incident, there is a first aid kit located in the vanity draw.   

The nearest medical centre open 7 days, 8am-8pm is Westgate Medical Centre, Westgate Shopping Centre 13E Maki Street, Massey, Auckland 0614.

The nearest hospital is 22mins from the Hunting Lodge - Waitakere Hospital, Waitakere Hospital, 55-75 Lincoln Road, Henderson, Auckland 0610.

 

How do I cancel my booking? Can I get a refund?

We offer a full refund if your booking is cancelled two weeks or more prior to your booking. Cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice will be 50% refunded. Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will not be refunded.

 

How do I change my booking to another night?

 

Please email us at thehuntinglodgeglamping@gmail.com  Please give us at least four days' notice.

 

What do I do if something goes wrong or I can’t find what I need?

 

Glamping is the perfect opportunity to unplug and wind.  The site is in range for mobile both Vodafone and Spark.  The tent is also equipped with electricity to charge devices.  If you have a medical emergency, please dial 111.  For any other emergencies, you are welcome to message or call us at any time during your stay.  For information please refer to our guest directory in the tent.
